Selwyn LeRoy Conger

Maxine Crowell Leonard's CONGER FAMILY OF AMERICA I: pg: 459-460
Son Emery LeRoy (Lee) CONGER was born at Tekamah, Nebraska, so He and Dora may of died near there.
DWS note: THERE are 2 S L Congers in eastern Nebr at the same time
Stephen Lavern Conger listed here lived at Stanton NE died abt 1895? (probably the Civil War deserter)
Selwyn LeRoy Conger living at Inman, Holt Co NE and died abt 1910?
There is an S L Conger buried in Inman, Holt Co, NE. The large Civil War Memorial Stone has S L Conger on it.
Is this our missing S L Conger, the missing person (desertion) from the Civil War?
DWS doesn't believe he is the deserter as he is honored as a Civil War Vet at the Inman Cemetery.

DWS: This would lend evidence he was living in Inman NE and his dau married Swengel. But the death date from Jo Nelle (Conger-Wagner) Linnaus state Stephen Laven Conger died in 1895. Is this the same person?
