at Clementsport. Parish Register of St Clements church says:
Mrs Polhemus Potter of Clementsport, aged 33 years, was buried
29 May 1866 (St Clements PR3, p 35, #277). As Nova Scotia did
not keep formal BMD records at this time, your author (Balcolm) has taken
the St Clements record to be correct

Annie Maxwell Clark

Teacher and nurse. Annie was one of the most respected teachers at Annapolis Academy. Note from LWT of Mary E. HARRIS of Bridgetown, "Her nurses were Annie BALCOM of Annapolis Royal wife of Fenwick BALCOM and Ida May HARRIS of Granville wife of Fenwick W. HARRIS, farmer."


Irene Clark Balcom

Never married. Irene trained as teacher and graduated from what is now Mount Allison University in Sackville, NB. She was member of the IODE. She was the primary care-giver for her aging parents and for fritz's young children, folowing the death of their mother. She influenced many lives and was affectionately referred to as 'Auntie.' Irene loved literature and penned many poems herself.


Elisha Woodbury Balcom

No Children. Elisha operated a barrel stave factory and also trained as a leather tanner. He and Fannie lived in a house built by John Gilmore Balcom which was later occupied by his grand-niece, Olive Balcom Staples.
