Koelzer rites
Mass of Christian Burial for Elizabeth Koelzer, 91, of Heights Nursing Home at Locust Mountain, Shenandoah, formerly of Mahanoy City, who died Wednesday morning at the Ashland Regional Medical Center, Fountain Springs, will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Fidelis Roman Catholic Church, Mahanoy City. Interment will be in the parish cemetery. Richard W. Fritz Funeral Home, Ashland, is in charge of arrangements.

Born in Mahanoy City, Nov. 2, 1906, she was a daughter of the late Fred and Mary Kalhoff Koelzer. She was a graduate of St. Fidelis School, Mahanoy City.

She was a retired clerk for the former Lit Brothers Department store, Philadelphia.

She was a member of St. Fidelis Church and its Rosary Society and Mahanoy City Senior Citizens.

Surviving are nieces and nephews.

TILDEN - Services for Doyle Ruterbories, 81, of Oakdale were Friday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Tilden with burial in St. Mary’s Cemetery and military honors by VFW Post 7603 and American Legion Post 170 of Tilden. Brockhaus-Harlan Funeral Home was in charge.
Mr. Ruterbories died Tuesday May 23, 2006, at the Neligh Nursing Center.
Lawrence Doyle Ruterbories, the son of Joseph H. and Yvetta B. (Jones) Ruterbories, was born at Clearwater on Sept. 2, 1924. He graduated with the class of 1942 from Oakdale High School. He served with the United States Army from July 26, 1944, to June 26, 1946. Following the war, he returned to Oakdale to farm. In 1956, he moved to St. Louis, Mo., began his employment with McDonnell Douglas and retired from there in June 1990. He returned to Oakdale in June of 1993.
Doyle was a member of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel Catholic Church and the International Association of Machinists.
He is survived by sisters, Mrs. Gregory (Patricia) O’Shea of Barnhart, Mo., and Mrs. James (JoAnn) Jirousek of Dallas, Texas, and many nieces and nephews.
Doyle was preceded in death by his brothers, Bernard, James, Caryl, Joseph Duane, Vincent and Francis and a sister, Kathleen.
