"The funeral for Allard W. Hartford, 87, of Cedar Bluffs will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Cedar Bluffs.
He died Friday, Oct. 14, 2005, at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.
He was born Sept. 26, 1918, in rural Cedar Bluffs to Fred and Meta (Anthony) Hartford. He lived all his life in the Cedar Bluffs area. He married Ilva M. Sukstorf on Dec. 8, 1940, in Cedar Bluffs. He was a farmer until retiring in 1984. He moved into Cedar Bluffs in 1986.
He was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Cedar Bluffs and held various offices in the church. He was a member of the former Lions Club in Cedar Bluffs.
Survivors include: his wife, Ilva; brothers-in-law, Edgar (and wife, Anna) Sukstorf, Clarence (and wife, Ruth) Sukstorf, all of Cedar Bluffs, and Loyd (and wife, Ioma) Sukstorf of Fremont; sisters-in-law, Ioma (Mrs. Tony) Kubr, Ileen (Mrs. LeRoy) Hajek and Dorothy Sukstorf, all of Cedar Bluffs; and numerous nieces and nephews, including Delbert (and wife, Sandy) Sukstorf of Fremont. Allard helped raise six foster children.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, Victor and his wife, Alta Hartford.
The Rev. Norman Porath will officiate Tuesday's service. Visitation will be from 2-9 p.m. today with the family receiving friends from 6:30-8 p.m., all at Moser Memorial Chapel in Cedar Bluffs. Visitation will continue one hour prior to service time at the church. Burial will be in Fleming Cemetery, near Cedar Bluffs.
Memorials have been established to the Fleming Cemetery Association, St. Matthew Lutheran Church and the Cedar Bluffs Rescue Squad."

She died Wednesday, March 8, 2006, at A.J. Merrick Manor in Fremont.
She was born May 9, 1918, in Cedar Bluffs to John F. “Bill” and Anna (Hensen) Sukstorf. She grew up in Cedar Bluffs and graduated from Cedar Bluffs High School. Ilva Sukstorf married Allard W. Hartford on Dec. 8, 1940, in Cedar Bluffs. The couple farmed near Cedar Bluffs until 1984 and then moved into Cedar Bluffs in 1986. Her husband died Oct. 14, 2005.
She was a member of St. Matthew Lutheran Church in Cedar Bluffs, taught Sunday school and was a member of the Dorcas Society.
Survivors include: three brothers, Edgar (and wife, Anna) Sukstorf and Clarence (and wife, Ruth) Sukstorf, all of Cedar Bluffs, and Lloyd (and wife, Ioma) Sukstorf of Fremont; two sisters, Ioma (and husband, Tony) Kubr and Ileen (and husband, LeRoy) Hajek, all of Cedar Bluffs; and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Sukstorf of Cedar Bluffs. The couple helped raise six foster children.
