FUNERAL SERVICES HELD ON
THURSDAY FROM SMITH
MORTUARY

Mrs. Augusta Prawitz died at her home at 1141 North Main Street on Sunday, May 28, 1939 at 1:10 p.m. following a stroke. The deceased took ill during April, 1938 and had been bedfast ever since. Since May 16, 1939 she had been unconscious.
Augusta Welhilmina Maria Rabbass Prawitz was born at Alt Rendnitz Brandenburg, Germany March 13, 1856. She received her education and was confirmed in the Lutheran faith in the land of her birth.
In 1876 she was united in marriage to Ludwig Ernest Prawitz at Brandenburg, Germany. They came to America in April of 1881 and lived on farms at Wahoo and Howells before settling on a farm near West Point. Later they retired and moved to West Point. Nine children were born to this union, one of them, a daughter, Mrs. Augusta Otto, preceded her mother in death. The husband and father also preceded his helpmate in death.
She was a loving wife and mother and underwent all the hardships of early pioneers. In her long illness she endured her suffering with fortitude and patience.
Surviving are eight children; six sons, August of Lincoln, Nebr., Fred, of Royal, Nebr.; William of Pierce, Nebr.; Ludwig, of Emmet, Idaho; Otto, of Nyssa, Oregon, and Arthur at home; two daughters, Mrs. B. L. Flores of West Point, and Minnie at home; also seventeen grandchildren and five great-grand-children.
Funeral services were held this (Thursday) afternoon at the Ray Smith funeral parlors at 1:30 p.m. Rev. W. A. Klink officiated at the service and burial was made in Mt. Hope cemetery."

On Friday afternoon, Dec. 31, 1971 funeral services for Mrs. Ida M. Flores, lifetime resident of West Point, Nebraska were conducted at Grace Lutheran Church.
Pastor Benard A. Nelson officiated, Mrs. Grant Woerman, West Point was organist and Marvin Von Seggern, West Point served as soloist.
Burial was in Mount Hope Cemetery, West Point and the following served as pallbearers: Steve Langemeier and Jeffrey Flores, both of Hooper, Nebr.; Darryl Johnson, Greeley, Colo.; Glen' and Gale Flores, Loveland, Colo.; and Stephen Flores of Ellswortth AFB, Rapid City, South Dakota.
Ben Stalp Funeral Home was in charge of funeral arangements.
Ida Meta (Prawitz) Flores was born May 8, 1892 at West Point, Nebr., to Ludwig and Augusta Prawitz and died suddenly Tuesday afternoon, December 28, 1971 in Fremont, Nebr. at the home of her daughter at the age of 79 years, 7 months and 20 days.
She was baptized and confirmed in Grace Lutheran Church and received her education in District 22 in Cuming County.
On April 5, 1916 she married Boyd L. Flores at Grace Lutheran Church in West Point by Pastor L. J. Powel and the couple farmed in Cuming County for several years.
Survivors are children, Gordon Flores, Loveland, Colorado; twins, Mrs. Carl (Dorothy) Hiatt, Colorado Springs, Colorado and Mrs. Stanley (Doris) Johnson, Fremont, Nebr.; Leigh Flores of Hooper, Nebr. and Earl Flores of West Point, Nebr.
Also surviving are 17 grandchildren and three great grandchildren and one brother, Otto Prawitz of Forest Grove, Oregon.
Mrs. Flores was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two sisters and five brothers.
Relatives and friends attended funeral services from Oakland, Fremont, Bancroft, Pender, Meadow Grove, Hooper, Minden, Scribner, West Point, Uehling, York, Hastings and West Point, Nebr.; Colorado Springs, Greeley and Loveland, Colorado and Rapid City, South Dakota."
