'Heinrich "Henry" Ortmeier, 82 died 13 Oct 1941 at his home southeast of West Point at 3:00 p.m. Death was due to compications resulting from old age. Funeral services were held Wednesday , Oct. 15,at St. Mary's church and burial was made in St. Michael's cemetery.The deceased was born to Mr. and Mrs. Ferdinand & Anna Luening Ortmeier in 1859 in Westphalen, Germany. He received his education in Germany and came to America in early manhood, where he was united in marriage to Theresa Brunke 09 Feb 1893 at ST. Mary's Catholic Church West Point. Casper Ortmeier and Bertha Brunke were witnesses. The children from this union were, Ferdinand Ortmeier b. 1894, d. 1960, Elizabeth M. Ortmeier, b. 20 Sep 1895, d. 30 Nov. 1952, Catherine Stalp, b. 01 Dec 1896, d. 18 Nov. 1959, Clara Tingelhoff, b. 01 May 1898, d. 11 May 1989, Bernard Ortmeier, Theodore Ortmeier, b. 15 Jun 1901, d 16 Apr 1960, Edith & stillborn twin boy, Ortmeier, b. 02 Mar 1906, d. 02 Jun 1959, Marie A. Ortmeier, b. 17 Nov 1909, d. 21 Dec 1978.
Preceded in death by his wife Theresa Brunke Ortmeier 18 Nov. 1925. Surviving children: Elizabeth and Edith, Omaha; Mrs. Clara (Henry) Tinglehoff, Lexington; Mrs. John Stalp, West Point, and Ferdinand, Marie, & Bernard, at home. Three brothers, and two sisters also survive. Max, Orient, SD , Casper and John of West Point; Mrs. Mary Plantenberg of Crofton and Mrs. Christina Ostendorf of Randolph. Interment St. Michael's West Point. '

"Elizabeth Ortmeier died in Omaha Hospital
Miss Elizabeth Ortmeier, 56, a registered nurse, who during her career in Omaha, cared for the city's great, near-great and lowly, died Sunday at St. Joseph's Hospital. She had been ill a month. She was known in medical cirlcles as a nurse who never declined a case. Funeral services were conducted at 9:30 o'clock Wednesday morning at St. Mary's church with Rev. Herman Kaup officiating. Burial was in St. Michael's cemetery. Pall bearers were Ray Ortmeier, Arthur Ortmeier, Robert Ortmeier, Wenzel Ortmeier, J. B. Ortmeier and Henry Ortmeier. Elizabeth Ortmeier was born Sept 20, 1896 to Henry and Theresa Brunke Ortmeier. She graduated from West Point High School in 1915. She taught in Cuming County rural schools three years then entered St. Joseph's school of nursing. She has been employed in Omaha since her graduation. Miss Ortmeier was a member of St. Mary's church in Omaha, Creighton Alumni association and
Catholic Nurses council. Surviving are two brothers, Ferdinand and Ben Ortmeier of West Point, four sisters, Mrs. Clara ( Henry) Tingelhoff of Lexington, Miss Edith Ortmeier of Omaha and Mrs. John Stalp and Miss Marie Ortmeier of West Point. "
