Larry Clarence Reith
' Larry was born the son of Norbert & Dorothy (Beckman) Reith. He grew up on the family farm and attended St. Gabriel's Catholic School in Fulda and graduated from the Fulda High School in 1969. Larry entered the U.S. Marines and served in Okinawa. He was united in marriage to Mary Olsem on November 28, 1981 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Dundee. After their marriage they lived near Fulda. Larry then entered the Army Reserves and served in the Gulf War and served until his retirement. He worked for many years as a lineman for Alliant Energy in Fulda. Due to failing health he retired in 2011. Larry passed away at the Worthington Sanford Hospital at the age of 63. He was a member of St. Gabriel's Church. He also belonged to the Fulda American Legion and VFW. He enjoyed farming, his family, having coffee in the morning, going for walks, fishing, watching football and playing cards.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Reith; daughter, Laura (Oscar) Chitay; 3 grandchildren, Tony, Noah and Gloriann; mother, Dorothy Reith; 3 brothers, Harold (Pat) Reith, Donald (Roxanne) Reith, and Gerald (Becky) Reith; many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He is preceded in death by his father, sister, Rosemary and brother, Dennis.
Funeral services were held from St. Gabriel's Catholic Church Fulda, MN on September 16, 2013 with Fr. Jim Callahan officiating. '
