CEDAR BLUFFS - Victor Schueth died Sunday in his home in Cedar Bluffs. He was 80.
Mr. Schueth was born on Oct. 20, 1900 in Humphrey. He lived in Hastings and Grand Island prior to moving to Cedar Bluffs seven months ago.
He married Effie Hayes in Grundy Center, Iowa, in 1929. She died on March 12, 1980.
Mr. Schueth is survived by his mother, Mrs. Clara Schueth, Cedar Bluffs, sister, Mrs. Vern (Cora) Otredosky, and Miss Elinor Schueth, both of Cedar Bluffs; Mrs. Bill (Evelyn) Redler, Albion; Mrs. Dolan (Lucyle) Curren, Madisonville, Ky.; Mrs. Estelle Hill, Minneapolis, Minn.; and Mrs. Marcella Toohey, Rapid City, S.D.
Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. at Blessed Sacrament Church in Grand Island. A rosary will be said Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. in Moser Memorial Chapel, Cedar Bluffs, and visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
Burial will be in Westlawn Memorial Park Cemetery, Grand Island."

"Mrs. Lucyle Curren
MADISONVILLE, Ky. –– Mrs. Lucyle Curren, 94, died 9:22 a.m. Tuesday, July 2, 2002, at Ridgewood Terrace Nursing Home in Madisonville.
She was born April 7, 1908 in Cedar Rapids, Neb., to the late Charles F. Schueth and Clara Rohatsch Schueth. She was a member of Christ The King Catholic Church, Cheerio Pinochle Club and the 20th Century Homemakers Club.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother and four sisters.
She is survived by her husband, Dolan Curren of Madisonville; three daughters, Donna Rombach of Medford, Ore., Verna Mae Blanchard of Madisonville, and Ann Marie Hoffman of Lees Summit, Mo.; one sister, Marcella Toohey of Albuquerque, NM.; 13 grandchildren; 28 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held 10 a.m. Saturday, July 6, 2002, at the Christ the King Catholic Church with the Rev. Jerry Calhoun officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be held from 5 until 8 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2002, at the Barnett-Strother Funeral Home in Madisonville, and from 9 until 9:30 a.m. on Saturday at the funeral home.
Prayer services will be held 6:30 p.m. Friday, July 5, 2002, at the funeral home."

" Marcella M. Toohey, age 101, a resident of Albuquerque, NM, passed away on Sunday, December 22, 2013, peacefully in her sleep at Brookdale at Valencia Assisted Living, where she had resided for the past three and a half years. For the last several days, her son and friends were at her side supporting her in prayer and with their presence.
Marcella was born on July 2, 1912, in the small rural town of Cedar Rapids, NE, where she attended St. Anthony's Church, grade, and high school, and where she was also married.
Marcella lived most of her married life in Rapid City, SD, and two years after retirement at age 72, she moved to Albuquerque in 1984.
Marcella is survived by her son, Jim Toohey and his wife, Marva of Chagrin Falls, OH, daughter-in-law, Bennita Toohey of Albuquerque, five grandchildren, Tim Toohey of Albuquerque, Kevin and his wife, Mitzi Toohey of San Antonio, TX, Colleen and her husband, Duane Redelsheimer, Peggy and her husband, Kurt Creason, all of Overland Park, KS and Jeff Toohey of Lawrence, KS.
Marcella was preceded in death by her husband, Michael J. Toohey, Rapid City, SD, her son, Michael J. Toohey Jr. of Albuquerque, parents, Mr. and Mrs. Charles F. Schueth, her five sisters, Stella, Evelyn, Cora, Lucille and Elinor, her brother, Victor and a granddaughter, Laura.
Marcella enjoyed her family and life in Rapid City and as a parishioner of Rapid City Cathedral.
Marcella always appreciated the people and the beauty of the Black Hills.
Over her years in Rapid City, she was employed with Wambsley Interior Decorators and Stone's Upholstery.
Her retirement years in Albuquerque centered around her church, Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, her family, friends and especially her bridge group of almost 30 years.
Marcella often said when others inquired about her, "I love my Albuquerque friends and my life". Her friends, family and recent acquaintances always said "She was special in her humility and an inspiration".
The Memorial Rosary will be recited on Thursday, December 26, 2013 at 6:00 p.m. at French - Lomas.
The Memorial Mass will be celebrated on Friday, December 27, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in the Chapel at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church on Lomas and Tennessee in Albuquerque, with Father Edward Domme, Celebrant.
Private family interment we be in Mt. Calvary Cemetery, Rapid City, SD, next to her husband of 43 years, who passed away in 1973.
In lieu of flowers, Marcella suggested that memorial contributions be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society for the Poor, at Our Lady of the Assumption Catholic Church, 811 Guaymas Pl. NE, Albuquerque, NM 87108."
